Stargrave - Part2

ACE Trucking Co. Adventures: 1 & 2

I have had a couple of games of Stargrave under my belt now and am really getting to grips with the rules. Stargrave is a fun game and the latest game was played in under 4 hours.

I have noticed through play however, that I will need some tokens, as things like weapons jams, wounded characters, active powers etc. need to be reasonably visible on the table as it is very easy to forgot who has what in the middle of game action.

I have put together a couple of Captain's Logs as a reminder of the events of the games. When we (in the Causeway Giants) get around to actually starting the Stargrave campaign, I will probably keep the Log format but add in the experience, loot and upgrades gained, possibly is some form of official crew report, much like the Sector Ranger report in the last blog.

++Damned set-up! The pick up on Chotov-4 was meant to be an easy in and out. Disused fuel storage depot in the middle of nowhere. Run in, grab stuff, leave. Where the hell did those other crews come from, and who the hell are they anyway? After the shoot-out started I decided it was getting to hot for the crew and high tailed it out of there In case the Sector Rangers showed up, or worse them damned Pirates. Right, where's that Space Coffee!++

++Following the lead Fatty [Arkl] picked up on our last outing, we made our way to a data vault on Kion, one of the moons orbiting the gas giant Vagorix in Sector-4. We managed to bypass security without a hitch only to find another crew already in the vault! I'll have words with Fatty later about running his big mouth in the bars before the jobs even been done! Following a big shoot-out we managed to secure the main data, as well as some other data that may be useful in the future. Chiefy took a big hit, and I thought we'd lost him. GBH didn't fare too well either getting wiped out by a lucky shot. We had to drag his ass back to the ship, although it'll take more than a direct carbine hit to the head to get rid of that monster. After these losses we high tailed it out of there before things got too hot. Now where's that Space Coffee and where is that damned fool Arkl!++
